Abstrakt

The fi rst part of the study presents the results of research in the natural values of Podlaskie region. It shows the characteristics of tourism and recreation forms, which are preferred on environmentally valuable areas. In the second part of the article the author proposes a strategy model for the development of nature tourism, ecotourism, green therapy and recreation. The model describes
the strategy steps, stating proposals for specifi c provisions that take into account the specifi city of these forms of tourism and recreation. The fi nal part indicates major benefi ts that come from the  creation and implementation of strategies aimed at exploiting the potential of the natural region.
