Abstract
Protected Areas are a part of the global nature protection system. More and more frequently they become a primary destination for individual and organized tourism. However, one should have in mind that tourism is one of the primary problems in environmental protection activities. The article presents the elementary legal fundamentals of nature conservation in Poland, regulatory forms of nature protection and the aspects of making Protected Areas accessible to the tourists.
